ANALYSIS: This bill establishes a commission for the purpose of identifying strategies needed for developing and implementing a competency-based public education.

ANHPE Analysis:  Commission would include 2 Senators, 2 members of the House of Representatives the Commissioner or designee from NH DOE, member of the State Bd of Ed, a teacher belonging to the NEA-NH, member of the AFT-NH, 2 NH school superintendents, member of the NH School Boards Assoc., member from NHASEA, rep from PIC, member from NH’s Community College system, member from NH Assoc of School Business Officials, 2 members from the Business & Industry Assoc,, 2 members from the NH Assoc of Chamber of Commerce Executives, 1 member from the Council for Teacher Ed., Chancellor of the University system of NH or designee, 1 member from SERESC, 1 member from North Country Education Svcs., 1 school district attorney, 5 members of the public (1 from each executive council district), 2 members who have received NH Teacher of the Year, 1 elementary or middle school principal and 1 HS principal, and 1member of the NH Extended Learning Organization
