Sen. Martha Hennessy fights an uphill battle to enable local school boards to determine gun policy
Upper Valley Democrat Senator Martha Hennessy has introduced an amendment to SB 357, Sen. Reagan’s bill about drug-free school zones that would allow school boards “to determine whether or not to prohibit the possession of firearms in a safe school zone.” (Here is the one sentence amendment.)
The public hearing on SB 357 has not been set but is likely to be held on the morning March 5 in room 103 of the Legislative Office Building. Check here on Thursday or Friday to find out for sure.
